Shipping Policy

Shipping Policy: ​

1.  Order Processing: Due to the nature of our traditional, hand crafted, made / bottled to order products, our processing time may take from 1 to 2 weeks from receipt of payment. We will do our best to process your order as quickly as possible. Orders are processed in the order they are received unless there is a valid emergency that needs to be expedited, or when materials are not available to complete the order in which case, we will go on to the next order in line and immediately return to the pending order when the shortage is resolved. If you have an emergency need of our products, please contact us. We will expedite orders that are needed urgently. *Please note: Iron Palm Bags and Steel Brushes may take longer to ship out. The processing time for Iron Palm Bags and Steel Brushes will be 1 - 3 weeks from receipt of order                                                                                            

2. Shipping costs: Shipping costs are calculated automatically by the selected shipping service. Costs are calculated based on the weight of the items ordered and the dimensions of the package used to ship them. There are no added fees or handling costs added. 

3. Freight Providers: USPS is the preferred provider for both domestic and international shipping. Federal Express, UPS, and other companies may be used when they offer better cost/delivery than USPS.

4. International Shipping: Shen offers worldwide shipping as a courtesy, to give access to our product line to as many people as possible, anywhere they may reside. International customers are responsible for any customs duties and fees imposed on shipped packages upon entry to their respective country. Shen will not be accountable for customs holds, delays, or entry denials. International returns due to customs entry denials are the responsibility of the international customer. Shen will work with international customers on such events as a courtesy as much as possible. Costs accrued from delayed, lost, damaged, returned packages are the responsibility of the buyer. 

5. Return to Sender, Undeliverable, or Failure to Deliver: Both domestic and international customers  are responsible for entering the correct information or instructions needed for successful delivery of their orders.  Shen Martial Arts will not be responsible for re-shipping orders returned for incorrect information or for failed delivery due to lack of instructions provided by the buyer. Shen will do our best to help and assist but will not be held accountable for any costs from the return or the cost to re-ship. ​​

6. Damaged to Packages or Contents: Shen Martial Arts packages customer orders carefully and securely to protect the products purchased as they are transported to their destinations. However, there is not amount of wrap, cushion or protection that can prevent damage from poor handling. Packages are the property of the customer when they are taken over by the delivery company that they paid for receives the product. Any damage to the package and its contents is the responsibility of the delivery/freight provider. Any damage incurred in transit must be claimed with the delivery provider by the customer. Shen Martial Arts may assist or work with the customer as a courtesy but will not be accountable for the cost of any damaged products, replacement or reshipping. 

7. Loss / Damage Insurance: USPS Ground Advantage is the most common service selected by customers for domestic orders. It includes $100 of insurance at no extra cost. In the case of loss or damage, customers can enter a claim via USPS.com or at their local office to recover their loss. If the ordered products amount to more than $100, USPS offers very affordable additional insurance for purchase.  Customers are responsible for adding more insurance at their discretion. International orders have a higher incidence of loss, damage or return. International customers are advised to determine if any insurance is included and to consider additional insurance as needed. ​​​

8. Potential service interruptions: Shen Martial Arts is not responsible for delays from service interruptions caused by natural disasters, war or other acts of God. Shen Martial Arts commits to  notifying customers of Service interruptions caused by operational issues, illness, vacation or other more controllable factors. Shen will issue updates and keep customers informed until service is restored. 

9. Information, Updates, Notices and Notification: Upon placing an order, customers will receive an order confirmation. When the order is completed, packaged and a shipping label is generated, a notification will be sent to the customer that the order is shipping. This notice  will include the tracking number where the package can be tracked while in transit. Shen Martial Arts also sends regular email notifications to customers that have opted in to receive these notices via email. Shen Martial Arts also publishes relevant information on the "News" section of the website. Customers are advised to refer to this page regularly. Finally, Shen Martial Arts publishes information, and educational content on the blog, "Shen Musings", where a variety of information, updates on a variety of subjects is posted. Aside from these regular or official information venues,  Shen will send out urgent or important information ain email format  and publish on social media platforms as deemed necessary. Shen Martial Arts will not send individual notifications to customers about shipment status unless there  are outstanding matters of unordinary significance or consequence. Shen also kindly requests that customers abstain from emailing for status when the order is within the 1 to 2 week processing time.
