Scar Fade was developed after receiving a compelling request from a person who had suffered several severe burns as a child and suffered from severe ongoing pain and discomfort from scarring.
 
The initial idea was to make an ointment or cream for this application. However, the goal of this remedy is to reduce the scarring and remove scar tissue and this requires penetration, and for that, it needed to be a tincture.
 
As with some of the other Shen originals, this is a hybrid herbal formula with herbs from Eastern and Western Traditions. Modern research was also consulted heavily and various herbs containing important natural substances were included. Herbs that stimulate the production of collagen as well as those that contain and deliver collagen and related substances were selected. Chinese herbs for creating generating flesh and herbs that are traditionally used for skin health were employed. One herb in particular is the centerpiece of this formula and it is exceptionally effective stimulating cell multiplication and has been used for centuries for severe skin issues. This formula is dual mode, meaning it can be also taken internally via oral, sublingual route.
 
The final tincture was very successful for this customer so we made several batches and let them age for several years. Until now.
 
How to Use: Topical: Rub tincture directly into the skin of the affected area. Do not apply heavy force. Use a round, circular motion to apply. Be careful not to press affected veins. Sublingual: Apply 10 to 15 drops under the tongue, 2 or 3 time per day. IF the taste is too strong, you can also mix the drops with a small amount of water. Caution: Not for use during pregnancy. Keep out of reach of children.
