This formula warms the Channel, eliminates dampness, dispels cold and sedates pain. In China, this formula is used effectively at hospitals and clinics for muscular pain, neck pain, joint pain, lower back pain, limited joint movement, deformity of joints, numbness of muscles, stiffness of the joints, soreness of the muscles, heavy limbs, and heavy feeling in the head. It is used to effectively treat rheumatism, rheumatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gouty arthritis, muscular rheumatism, sciatica, osteoarthritis, periarthritis of the shoulder and degenerative arthritis of lumbar spine.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Han Shi Bi Tang is specifically designed to treat the Invasion by Wind, Cold and Damp with predominance of Cold and Damp. This will typically occur to those that have suffered prolonged exposure to cold and damp weather, prolonged living or working in cold damp places, frequent wearing of damp clothes after excessive sweating, and weakness of Wei-Qi.

Han Shi Bi Tang contains additional herbs specially for those with deformity of the joints and for severe pain.
 
Directions: Rub tincture directly into the skin of the affected area twice per day, morning and night and as needed.
