Grand Master Ark Y. Wong of the Ng Ga Kuen five family/five animal style of southern kung fu. Considered by many to be the Father of kung fu in the west, credited with being the first to open the doors of Chinese martial arts to non-chinese. At his famous school and clinic in Los Angeles Chinatown circa 1959. Other teachers followed creating a domino effect that reached not only across the U.S. all around the world. If you practice Chinese martial arts outside of China, have a debt of gratitude to GM Ark Wong.
