Many ancient cultures believed that the deepest essence of any living being was produced and stored within the bone and that this essence was part of the soul or spirit of that living creature, and held some of its power. 
 
Dragon Bone or Long Gu in Chinese are fossilized bone fragments of a variety of ancient creature, from prehistoric times.  Dragon bone is an important substance in the Chinese herbal materia medica but is also highly valued in the shamanistic body of knowledge for its significant magical properties.
 
Dragon Bone is believed to convey the power and essence of the ancient creatures and to open doors to the spiritual realms, like a catalyst that empowers the human mind, and spirit to find entry the higher levels. It does not provide short cuts or jumps over steps  but rather increases the ability to advance and leads to significant doorways directly, creating more opportunities for higher development. 
 
Physically and mentally, Long Fu allows the mind to achieve Poise. It calms but does not slow and helps improve mood regardless of outer or environmental factors.  At a higher mental level, this opens psychic centers and pathways. 
 
Magically, Long Gu is powerful at warding off evil in its various forms and evil that has been absorbed and has been openly causing havoc, silently causing suffering or quietly hiding until the right trigger sets it off. 
 
Dragon Bone is best if carried close while in the presence of others, such as in a pocket or purse. Some wear the satchet by making it into a necklace. Negavtive attacks can occur at distance and  can be the most powerful, so sleeping with the satchet under your pillow or in the pillow case when this is suspected. Dragon bone is placed directly in the satchet, and is not contained in an inner pouch as with some of the others. 
 
Remember that the evil or negative destructive force comes in many forms, and can be transmitted to without meaning to, by jeoulosy, bigotry, and hatred. Evil can be an illness, a economic failure, a lapse of judgement, a moment of weakness...... being in the wrong place at the wrong time. This makes it hard to know if it is just life or something more. Be aware of what is happening within and around you. You will find there is much more going on than what you ever imagined.
